5 Ways: How to Relax Your Body and Reduce Stress

When was the last time you really took a break to relax your body? Finding it difficult to remember? Not a problem dude! From now on make your days count by reading and implementing the below mentioned ways:

1. Change the Way You Think of Stress

“What the mind of a man can conceive and believe, the mind of a man can achieve.” Stress in itself is not at all a bad thing. In fact, it is an asset if perceived from a right way. Stress itself doesn’t harm your body, what makes the difference is how you react to it. You should see the stress of workload as an opportunity to bring out the best in you and this will make you feel more relaxed.
It is you who has to decide whether to see a stronger or a weaker version of yourself in the time of stress!

2. Sit Down or Lie Down

Your should sit down on a chair or lie on a bed. Now, try to focus on the rhythm of your breath. Make each breath of yours count. Don’t strain your muscles. You should loose yourself and don’t try to think what you are doing.

3. Massage Your Body

You can ask your partner to massage your body at bedtime. It takes only about 10-15 minutes to massage. You yourself can give massage to your partner. It relaxes various muscles and you feel more relaxed. It also reduces stress and tension.

4. Get Adequate Sleep

Although no study has found out the right amount of sleep necessary to function effectively but most of the researchers bend for 7 to 9 hours of sleep. Too less or too much sleep is dangerous to your health. Sleeping too much may get you in risk of depression and too less sleep can get you in risk of diabetes and weight gain.

5. Avoid Screen Before Bedtime

Exposure to light from TV, laptop, tablet, mobile phone and all those gadgets can hamper your vision and also your sleep. The light from screen reduces the amount of melatonin in your body, a hormone known to induce sleep in humans. Also, couching on sofa or bed while seeing the screen makes you lazy and eventually making your body more tensed at work!

Hence to conclude with, I would just say that relaxation for the body can only come when you actually try to implement these few steps given above and not read them and forget them.
